Following an Architectural Competition for the design of this multi–use Arts Centre, Kennedy FitzGerald delivered an award–winning state–of–the–art facility with a fully retractable auditorium catering for music, theatre, comedy and dance performances.

This modern purpose–built facility integrates excellently within its context and can be entered from the High Street at the upper level and via the new riverside walkway and pedestrian bridge at lower level.

The Strule Arts Centre has generated widespread civic pride and is part of an overall £13M regeneration development involving the careful integration of new buildings into Omagh Town Centre. This required Kennedy FitzGerald to work sensitively within the conservation areas and the setting of listed buildings to enhance the visual amenity of the riverside and town centre. A new pedestrian street network in and around the Arts Centre provides links to the new High Street offices and shops.
