The project established a masterplan to enhance the overall site to provide a main clubhouse, pavilions, grandstand, grass pitches and 3G pitches while retaining sympathy to the adjacent Lagan Valley Regional Park.

The Main Clubhouse acts as the site’s primary social and changing facility, positioned in a predominant location, visible from the Malone Road and the surrounding pitches.

The building is a contemporary response to traditional pavilion architecture with a strong architectural identity appropriate to its parkland setting and responds to the differing ground levels surrounding the building. Its external form and aesthetics consists of robust Donegal shale elements contrasted against areas of smooth render and glazing, all bound together by the main linear sedum roof plate.
