This new-build adult mental health facility provides secure short stay residential accommodation for thirty patients, a day care unit for twenty five people, a home treatment team, catering facilities and administration.

Awarded following an architectural competition, the design as built retains all the key attributes of the original winning concept which addressed the diverse needs of the user group and incorporated a high level of flexibility.  The internal areas can expand or contract to enable occupancy levels to be maximised.  This is the first unit of this kind in Northern Ireland.

The internal layout provides a high standard of observation whilst also offering patients privacy, with all spaces benefitting from natural light, colour and attractive views to the landscaping.  The carefully designed garden areas provide a range of secure environments for quiet and active use, with both inward and outward looking areas.
