TRANSLINK ACCESS MANAGEMENT SURVEYS

Kennedy FitzGerald Architects led Integrated Design Team has worked closely with Translink in the development and implementation of their asset management strategy.  This aims to enhance passenger experience and efficiency through the implementation of improved facilities management and planned maintenance systems.

Following the completion of an initial strategy document, Translink commissioned the development of bespoke Facilities Management database software.  This new system allows all the details of each building fabric element and all building services across their estate to be effectively recorded, monitored and managed.

The Kennedy FitzGerald Team then led the first phase of asset management surveys to capture building condition data for input into the database.  The team included building surveyors, structural and civil engineers from Tetra Tech, mechanical and electrical engineers from Williams and Shaw and a range of specialists surveyors.  Survey data completed included full RICS building condition reports alongside GIS data, point cloud, GPR and drone surveys as well as high level BIM Models for each site.
